Tuesday Tangle: Mini Dips

I've been making the double dips for awhile. Sometimes, though, I'd like to have a smaller "dip" at the ends. So, I got busy at the torch. Here's a comparison of a regular double dip (about 7mm in diameter) and the mini dip (about 5.5mm in diameter) made on 20 gauge copper wire.

What do you think?

They look awesome but what are they used for?

I really like the mini dips! The size is perfect for a small accent.

I like them both. But I agree, sometimes it's nice to have something a little smaller.

Love having the option in sizes. Has anyone done a tutorial on making these? How do you not melt the metal?

Totally love them both! Little is always good though - it's nice to have a wee option.

I love the double dip! It's like a teardrop.

I think both are great - like some one else said - it really depends on the project! Are they a small finishing detail on a pair of earrings? Then you'd want the small one. Are they a more integral part of the design? Then I'd want the double dips!
