Macro Sunday

Before we know it, the green of summer will be a memory and all the leaves will have turned to shades of russet, orange and yellow. Seeds will be sprung from their safety nestled within the leaves to plant themselves into the autumn ground.

I was struck by today's Japanese Maple seeds camouflaged in the leaves. The wind was blowing so it was difficult to get a picture of them between breezes. They're reminiscent of wings don't you think?

Please take a peek at the other "i heart macro" postings. I'm sure you'll enjoy what others have noticed during this past week....

They do look like wings! And the colors are so pretty. I would love to have some beads with those colors :-)

Have a great day!

Beautiful pictures, I like fall don't get me wrong but we're just now getting a bit of summer, which means more than 1 day in 7 with some sun and no rain. I do hope it lasts awhile longer.

I know Kristi, usually it's October before I truly accept that summer is over. The whole month of September, I'm in denial - LOL!

I want the summer to last until winter!

What lovely pictures! I love the maple "noses" too, and their colors are so beautiful.

I think I'm about ready for fall....but early fall, where Indian Summer can be just around the corner ;)

Im with Cindy, summer is far from over, even though I noticed some trees changing color already today. I agree they do look like wings! Nice pics.

They really do look like wings! Beautiful!
I am also in major denial about Summer coming to an end, the winters here in Michigan seem to go on and on forever :(
