If you work with your hands all day, like artists do and like I do as a sign language interpreter/artist, then you probably have a collection of hands. I'm always on the look out for artist made hands and I've recently found a couple I want to share with you.

Do you have a collection? I'd love to hear what you are always on the look out for!

I used to love these little ceramic upturned hands (the sort you could place things in to keep safe)...now that you've reminded me, I'm off to see if I can find some handmade ones on Etsy *G*
I'm slowly working on my lampwork collection too (and by collection, I mean obsession) :D
thank you, i'm in santa's workshop making more hands..
i love bees, and birds too.anything with either of those always seems to catch my eye.
Hi Hazel,
Yes, that's what the Raku Hands are, little dishes for safe keeping! Thanks for stopping by to check them out - these artists are very talented!
Beadfully yours,
Cindy
So glad you're in the workshop making more, Spirited Earth! I luvz me some hands!

I make Terra Cotta hands that are a reproduction of a Victorian design (I made the mold direct from a cast iron pair). We use them at our store to hold business cards. I have several in the process (have been in storage, unfired, for 12 years!). This makes me want to pull them out and trim them up and fire away!
My studio was at one time in an un-heated, no AC building... and here in the south, that is not good any time of the year except for maybe 1 or 2 weeks total. I moved everything but the kiln into the house!
Your beads are fabulous!
Cindy
Seeing as it's your interest, you've probably already seen this Etsy shop, but I just thought I'd share it in case you hadn't :)
