My personal style in jewelry is modern, simple, clean design where each element is full of symbolism. Being a beadmaker, I know the amount of work and personality that goes into creating these small works of art. I like to showcase each one in a minimalist design.
I followed Cat's lead in colors and took out my collection of alcohol inks and alphabet stamps.
The way is in the heart - Buddha
I didn't want the alignment perfect to reflect the ups and downs of following your life's path. I used violet ink to create a pink wash on the etched pattern on the front.
I added two amethyst beads sent to me by Cat. Amethyst represents wisdom and clarity and is the birthstone for my son's February birthday. One stone for wisdom and clarity to follow my own path and the other for my son.
Lastly, I added a spiral clasp. The spiral to represent how sometimes following your own path is circular and not straightforward.
I have a beautiful necklace thanks to the Bead Soup Blog Party. Thank you to my BeadSouPR, Cat for the lovely bead soup and Lori for hosting it! Now, on to the other Bead SouPRs to see what they've cooked up! Enjoy!

Very cool thought to add the color! Yay pink!

Beautiful necklace, Cindy! I like how you stamped the back of the copper heart - great idea! :)
Geanina.
Thank you Shannon and Geanina! :-)
Wow - love the process of how you did the heart pendant and I love the colors you used on the pendant! Wonderful necklace for yourself!
I also love symbolism in my personal jewelry. I wear pieces that remind me of important things in my life I want to think about on a given day.
I prefer that to choosing pieces that just happen "go with " outfits!
To me your necklace is a PERFECT creation !!!
Great Soup!
m.e. :)
lovely!!
What a great story! What did you use to seal the ink? I'm sure you'll love wearing that necklace!
As a copper addict, I absolutely love the focal of this piece, and the personalization you gave it, along with the simple textural chain showcase it beautifully!
What a beautiful soup you made my friend, your work is truly stunning!! Thanks for sharing & all I can say is yummmmmy!!!
Hi, Cindy! BSBP bottom-dweller here. At least I didn't go with bottom-feeders!
Love what you've done! Your style is so eclectic! That etched heart was amazing, and I have been into the alcohol inks for about 6 months, and it is unbelievable what you can do with them! In fact, I just recently posted a tie-dyed copper cuff on Etsy, courtesy of alcohol inks!
But back to you. Love what you've done! And it has bren so nice meeting everyone this way, and admiring the talent!
Love it - the fact that you took that heart piece and put your own stamp on it (he-he couldn't resist the pun). It is a truly gorgeous standout color.
Terri
I LOVE how you added the colors and the stamping on the back to personalize it!
Looks great Cindy!
I love how you stamped the back of the heart, and added the color. It was gorgeous to begin with, and you only enhanced it. I'm always afraid to do something like that, so thanks for showing me that bravery pays off.
Oh wow! I really love what you did with the focal point. The color is really great, and I love the phrase on the back. Great work!
Cat sent me one of these and I didn't even think to color it!!! Lovely!
Such a beautiful heart pendant and gorgeous design - I love it!
I am SO sorry for being late — today our internet provider decided to crash. My stress level is through the roof, to say the least! They’re still working on it, but it’s like dial-up.
I had fallen in love with that heart when I first saw it! And it's interesting to me to see how alcohol inks are used because my first try with them was a messy failure.
I hope you’ll participate again!
Love, Lori
I love your creativity, Cindy. I would have never thought of coloring the pendant as you did. Really lovely.
I never would of thought of adding color, very nice.
Very creative, I would never think of changing the color like that.
Wow Cindy, what a lovely piece! We’re all being pushed outside our comfort zones — with amazing results!
Enjoy the hop,
Emanda

Sweet necklace, Cindy! Cool idea to add color to the pendant. I like the simple design. Love the two delicate chains together with a few bead accents.
Beautifully done, I love it! Great idea to stamp the back, it looks fab! Riki
That's a great piece and I adore how you altered the focal. Very nice!
I have collected hearts for as long as I can remember and that one is a beauty! I like simplicity in designs also and what you did was all that heart needed. Gorgeous color you chose.
It's so fantastic how you made the soup components work to fit your design parameters
Beautiful necklace!
Thank you so much everyone! This bead soup party has certainly spurred on everyone's creativity! So many blogs to visit and so many lovely pieces to see! Thanks for visiting mine!
Beautiful necklace! I really like the colour you added to the heart, colourful and eye-catching. Of cause the heart was lovely as it was too, but by altering it like this you added your own touch to it as well. Very creative. And also, by keeping the necklace design simple you put full focus on that beautiful, beautiful heart that you two made together.
Cindy, that coloring is just stunning and so creative! I never thought of doing that to copper. What a treat! Love the color, the concept, the creativity!
Beautiful! I love the quote that you added to the back of the pendant and the color that you used to stained the front!
Enjoy your week!
Love what you did with the heart. It was nice before, not out there!
Really beautiful! I love, love that heart.
very pretty
I just love what you did with the heart! You certainly warmed mine, Miss Cindy!
Pretty, pretty heart! I like how you personalized it with such a lovely sentiment.
WOW you really did fabulous!!! I love the colors you chose for the pendent!

Be blessed to be a blessing
What a lovely way to use the heart!
Beautiful! I love how you added color to the pendant!
As usual, great design. Your work is outstanding. 'love the simplicity and special touch to this piece.
Love it and love how you added the pink!
Love the pink wash on that heart! Beautiful necklace!
Cindy, I love what you did with the heart and the simple necklace that you hung it on, beautiful!
Therese
I never would have thought to change the color. What a meaningful necklace now so totally something that could see myself wearing.
so pretty
Really great idea adding the colour! Really like it :)
Cindy I just love this!
You took something that was already lovely and made it more so.
Great work!
Warm regards,
Cathie
I adore the fact that you used alcohol inks to add some color to your pendant. Those inks are one of my favorite supplies. I would LOVE to know what you used as a sealer as I see no signs of it in the finished piece. Overall, very cool!
Love the necklace & your meaning behind each element!
So simple and elegant. I have a secret thing for pink (but don't tell anyone, lol)
I would never have thought to add color to that heart, very clever.
What a great necklace with the focal, the little beads and the chain. The stamping on the back really makes it very personal and lovely. I had never heard of these inks before this BSBP and will have to check them out. Although I really love copper, I like the way you changed that heart focal to be totally yours.
very cool idea! I love it!
Awesome job, Cindy! I love the pink wash and stamped phrase. I never thought to try alcohol inks on copper but I think you might have just sparked a new obsession for me!
Love how you used the ink to change the color. I must learn this technique!
Sooooo lovely!! The color you put on the heart is just perfect :)
I am not allowed to use fire. I am too dangerous. So for now, I will buy the hand made beads from wonderful artists like you to incorporate into my designs. Beautiful necklace with very clean lines.
A very pretty necklace!!!
Wow, that heart is amazing! I think it was a wise choice to use simple strands to showcase the focal. Nice job!
What a beautiful necklace!
Love how you made these pieces your own. I wouldn't ever have thought to do that! Way to go, Cindy. Great soup!
Fantastic!! I love it :)
very cool in your style...the heart always makes an attractive piece as all of us are feeling emotions right from our heart.
Like the color addition to the heart, makes it very, ...very! And it looks large? so I like it simple...
Hurray for girly colors! Love the pink heart.
Love that beautiful colour! That was a nice touch to stamp the saying on the heart... it makes it that much more special!
Very pretty! Love how you added the color to the heart
wow.. staining the heart gave it a completely different feel! Beautiful work :) Wear it in health and joy :D ... and grin widely and proudly every time you answer that question ' where did you did that lovely necklace?" lol
Soooo beautiful and thoughtful!
Ahh, to be able to do simplicity so well, that is art!! Love your heart necklace, the meanings and the gorgeous color and the simplicity!
Lovely! Such a pretty and feminine piece. I love that you made it pink and the hand stamped message on the back! Wonderful :)
So pretty. I love what you did with the colors. The heart came out beautifully!
Beautiful design Cindy! Love the phrase and the vivid pink wash!
The alcohol ink gave it an extra special touch.
Still making the rounds. Really like the way you used the inks and stamps.
LOVE what you did with that heart...lovely!
Love my alcohol inks...And it looks like you do too. What a fun time you must of had with your soup mix. It turned out beautifully! Soup-er job!

Beautiful necklace! I love how you colored the heart and added text without hammering the metal-brilliant!
All you need is... a heart!
Well thought!
Ambra
