I doodle in wire often. I have bits and pieces on my workbench from being inspired and/or trying out new skills. In my earlier wire work, I wasn't much of a "binder," meaning I didn't use higher gauge wire to bind on other elements of a wire design. Lately, I've wanted to add elements to a wire design and binding was the technique I used. Here's a wing prototype I came up with recently where I used binding.
There are a few things I don't like about this wing but I wanted to work all the way through the design before I tried out another one.
Have you tried a new technique lately? Or have you varied a technique to come up with a new spin on your work?

Oh sweet! I can't wait to see where these go from here.
Just recently I made my very first chain from copper by making figure 8 links, hammering them and linking them all together. That's a big deal for me.
Enjoy your week!
I worked with a copper pipe to form a component for a necklace I made for last month's ABS challenge inspired by a design I found in a book. I love it! I need to buy more pipe in more widths! Super fun! Next I would like to try etching the pipe before using it. And then maybe adding patinas!
Enjoy the day!
