A Little Late but couldn't put it in gear!

Couldn't seem to get "into gear" fast enough to post this for Art Bead Scene's monthly challenge on Steampunk. But better late than never! I finally took apart some of the flea market watches I bought. They fit perfectly with my handmade glass bronze gear and my new favorite bowl bezel - hand forged by me in brass along with with copper ball headpins.

Please don't forget to get yourself into gear and stop by my website where I'm having a HUGE clearance sale!

Wow! What a great turn of design, a cool style. Love the combination of the glass and the metal, and the way you snuggled the glass up into the little setting. Way Cool!

Hi Cindy
I really like how this necklace turned out! Is it in your personal collection or on sale somewhere...I didn't see it in your jewelry section of your website. This would make a cool tutorial!

Cindy!

I love this piece - it's a nice tight little vignette of Steampunk style. It's what I had in mind when I created the "bronze" gears to begin with.

Cindy - no, it's not up on my site yet. I usually put new work on my blog and then put it up on my site after. BUT it would make more sense to put it on my site right away. It would make a good tutorial wouldn't it? Now, should I submit to a mag or write a tutorial available for download?

Hi Cindy

If you made this in to a tutorial for your site available for purchase, then that would be immediate gratification! But submitting it to a magazine would be nice too...would draw in a larger crowd to purchase your bronze gear beads! I just love the colors and design...I for one would buy the issue or tutorial! I see you took apart an old watch...that must have been hard coming from a "purist". :-)
